6. Product Information and Images
We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, images, dimensions, condition information,
specifications, and availability details. However, product images may be for illustration
purposes only unless clearly stated otherwise in writing.
Used shipping containers may vary in colour, appearance, markings, dents, scratches, repairs,
patches, surface rust, previous shipping labels, repainting, flooring condition, and cosmetic
finish. Such cosmetic differences are normal for used containers and do not necessarily affect
their practical storage use.
Customers should confirm any specific requirements before placing an order, including size,
condition, colour, doors, access type, high cube requirements, refrigeration requirements,
modifications, cabin layout, site access, and delivery needs.
7. Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are provided based on the information available at the time of enquiry. Prices may vary
depending on container type, size, condition, modifications, location, delivery distance, site
access, transport costs, currency value, fuel costs, VAT treatment, and stock availability.
- Quotes are not binding until accepted and confirmed in writing.
- Prices may change before order confirmation if stock, transport, supplier, tax, or currency conditions change.
- Any quotation validity period will be stated on the quote or invoice where applicable.
- Where no validity period is stated, quotes may be withdrawn or updated at any time before order confirmation.
- Errors or omissions in pricing, descriptions, or availability may be corrected before order acceptance.
8. VAT and Sales Tax
In the United Kingdom, the relevant transaction tax is normally Value Added Tax, known as VAT.
Where VAT applies, it may be included in the price, added separately, or shown on your invoice
or order confirmation.
If Nelson Shipping Containers LTD is VAT registered or legally required to charge VAT, VAT will
be applied in accordance with applicable UK law. Customers should check the quote or invoice
carefully to confirm whether prices are VAT inclusive, VAT exclusive, or outside the scope of VAT.
9. Orders and Acceptance
An order is only accepted when Nelson Shipping Containers LTD confirms acceptance in writing,
issues an order confirmation, confirms payment, or begins processing the order. A quote,
website listing, product page, email discussion, or invoice request does not automatically
guarantee stock availability or order acceptance.
01
Customer Enquiry
You request pricing, availability, product details, delivery information, or a quote.
02
Quote or Invoice
We provide pricing, product details, delivery costs, payment terms, and relevant conditions.

accepts bank payments. Credit card payments may be accepted as an available payment option,
but are currently unavailable unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
- Payment must be made to the account details shown on the official invoice or written payment instruction.
- Customers must use the correct invoice number or order reference when making payment.
- Orders may not be processed, reserved, modified, dispatched, or delivered until payment has cleared.
- We may request proof of payment before scheduling delivery.
- Incorrect, incomplete, delayed, or unmatched payments may delay order processing.
Payment Security Notice:
If you receive suspicious payment instructions or a request to pay different bank details,
contact us directly at sales@nscontainers.co.uk
before making payment.
11. Delivery and Shipping
Nelson Shipping Containers LTD arranges container delivery throughout the United Kingdom.
Delivery times are estimated based on availability, payment confirmation, location, delivery
scheduling, site access, road conditions, and transport availability.
Our standard UK delivery timeframe is normally within 5–7 days maximum after
order confirmation, payment clearance, and receipt of all required delivery details, unless
otherwise agreed in writing.
A standard flat shipping fee may apply where stated. Delivery costs may change due to location,
transport costs, fuel prices, remote areas, special delivery needs, ferry access, crane-assisted
delivery, or other circumstances.
12. Site Access and Delivery Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is safe, accessible, prepared,
and suitable for the container and delivery vehicle.
Access Width
The delivery vehicle must have enough room to enter, turn, unload, and exit safely.
Ground Conditions
The placement area must be firm, level, stable, and suitable for the container weight.
Overhead Clearance
Customers must check for trees, cables, roof edges, gates, poles, and other obstructions.
Final Position
The final container location should be prepared and clearly confirmed before delivery.
Failed delivery caused by unsuitable access, unsafe ground, incorrect information, customer
absence, blocked access, or inability to unload safely may result in additional charges for
waiting time, re-delivery, transport, cancellation, or storage.
13. Risk and Ownership
Risk in the product passes to the customer once the product has been delivered to the agreed
delivery address or agreed placement location, unless otherwise required by law.
Ownership of the product will only pass to the customer once full cleared payment has been
received by Nelson Shipping Containers LTD. Until full payment is received, we may retain
ownership of the product and may withhold delivery or further processing.
14. New, Used and Refurbished Container Conditions
Container condition varies depending on product type, age, previous use, grade, availability,
and customer requirements.
New / One-Trip Containers
Usually in the best condition with minimal previous use and a cleaner external appearance.
Used Containers
May include dents, marks, repairs, surface rust, patches, repainting, and normal signs of shipping use.
Cargo Worthy Containers
Designed to be structurally suitable for transport or shipping use where relevant certification applies.
Wind and Watertight Containers
Suitable for general storage and intended to protect contents from normal wind and rain conditions.
Cosmetic wear on used containers does not automatically make the container defective.
Customers should confirm any cosmetic, colour, grade, or condition expectations before
order confirmation.
15. Modified Containers and Bespoke Orders
Modified containers, container cabins, site offices, refrigerated modifications, container pools,
bespoke fabrications, custom paintwork, window installations, door installations, electrical
fittings, insulation, partitions, roller shutters, and other custom works may be made to a
customer’s specification.
Bespoke, personalised, modified, or made-to-order products may have different cancellation,
return, refund, and delivery terms. Once modification work has started, cancellation or change
requests may not be possible or may incur charges for labour, materials, administration,
transport, and supplier costs already incurred.
16. Consumer Cancellation Rights
If you are a consumer purchasing online, by phone, by email, or otherwise at a distance, you may
have the right to cancel certain orders within 14 days after delivery, subject to UK consumer
law and any applicable exceptions.
The right to cancel may not apply, or may be limited, where products are made to your
specification, personalised, modified, customised, specially ordered, or unsuitable for return
because of their nature.
To request cancellation, contact us at
sales@nscontainers.co.uk
with your name, order details, delivery address, product information, and reason for contacting us.
17. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with UK consumer law, these Terms, and any
relevant Refund Policy or Returns Policy issued by Nelson Shipping Containers LTD.
- Customers must contact us before returning any product.
- Containers must not be moved, altered, damaged, painted, modified, loaded, or resold before a return request is assessed.
- Customers may be responsible for return transport costs unless the product is faulty or otherwise required by law.
- Refunds may be reduced where the product has been used, damaged, altered, or handled beyond what is necessary to inspect it.
- Bespoke, modified, personalised, or made-to-order products may not be returnable unless faulty or not as described.
Refunds, where approved, will normally be processed using the original payment method unless
otherwise agreed.
18. Faulty Goods and Customer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights. Consumer customers have legal rights in
relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality, or not fit for
purpose.
If you believe a product is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you must contact us as soon
as possible with your order details, a written description of the issue, and clear photographs
or videos where relevant.
We may request the opportunity to inspect the product or obtain evidence before deciding the
appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, refund, partial refund, or another
remedy required by law.
19. Warranties
Any warranty provided with a product will be stated in writing on the product listing, quote,
invoice, warranty document, or order confirmation. Warranty cover may vary depending on product
type, condition, age, grade, and use.
Unless otherwise stated, warranties do not cover normal cosmetic wear, misuse, accidental
damage, unauthorised modifications, poor site placement, unsuitable ground, corrosion caused by
standing water, lack of maintenance, movement after delivery, third-party damage, or use outside
the intended purpose.
20. Customer Responsibilities After Delivery
After delivery, customers are responsible for safe use, maintenance, insurance, security,
planning permissions, ground preparation, access control, and compliance with any local rules
or site requirements.
- Keep the container on firm and level ground.
- Check doors, locks, vents, seals, and drainage periodically.
- Avoid placing the container in standing water or unstable ground.
- Do not overload the container beyond safe use.
- Arrange suitable insurance where required.
- Check whether planning permission or site consent is required.
21. Business Customers
Where you purchase as a business customer, you confirm that you are buying for business,
trade, commercial, agricultural, professional, or organisational purposes.
Business customers are responsible for checking product suitability before purchase. To the
fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to business customers is limited to the price
paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
22. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so,
including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent
misrepresentation, or any rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, Nelson Shipping Containers LTD will not be liable for indirect,
consequential, special, or business losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of
business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of data, or business interruption.
23. Force Majeure
Nelson Shipping Containers LTD will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform
obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control. These may include severe weather,
transport disruption, road closures, strikes, supplier delays, vehicle breakdown, fuel shortages,
government restrictions, natural disasters, power failure, cyber incidents, accidents, or other
unforeseen events.
Where such an event occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to update customers and resume
performance as soon as reasonably possible.
24. Privacy and Data Protection
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data
protection law. Personal information may be used to respond to enquiries, process orders,
arrange delivery, manage payments, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
For more information about how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data, please review
our Privacy Policy.

All website content, including text, images, graphics, branding, layout, icons, product
descriptions, design elements, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Nelson Shipping
Containers LTD unless otherwise stated.
Customers and website visitors must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or use
our content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
26. Reviews, Testimonials and User Content
If you submit a review, testimonial, image, comment, or other content to Nelson Shipping
Containers LTD, you grant us permission to use, display, reproduce, and publish that content
for marketing, website, social media, and business purposes, unless you clearly request
otherwise in writing.
You must not submit false, misleading, offensive, defamatory, unlawful, or third-party content
without permission.
27. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

try to resolve the issue fairly and efficiently.
Step 1
Email us with your order number, contact details, and a clear explanation of the issue.
Step 2
Provide photographs, videos, delivery notes, or supporting information where relevant.
Step 3
We will review the matter and may request further details or inspection where needed.
Step 4
We will aim to offer a fair resolution in accordance with these Terms and UK law.
28. Changes to These Terms
Nelson Shipping Containers LTD may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to
reflect changes in our business, products, services, website, legal requirements, delivery
processes, payment methods, or operating procedures.
The version of the Terms in force at the time your order is accepted will usually apply to
that order unless a change is required by law.
29. Severability

be treated as removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining parts of these
Terms will continue to apply.
